Introduction

Hello everyone!

My name is Hannah Darnell. I am 21 and I'm from Liberty, WV. I got married about 2 years ago and could not be happier! I am a junior at WVSU and I am currently working on my Elementary Education major. This is my 2nd year at state but I also attended Bridgemont community and technical college for 1 year as well. I hope to graduate in the next 2 years.  

Music is a large part of my family. My grandparents on my fathers side were both extremely musically talented. My dad has played the guitar since he was about 12 years old and  was the praise and worship leader at my church for about 20 years. My brother is also the drummer at my church and i used to play the bass guitar at my church as well. I have sang at my church since I was about 11 years old and I love it. I have recently began learning the piano and I love it!






I also love the outdoors and that may stem from growing up on a 40 acre farm! I  had quite a few animals when I was younger. I now only have 1 dog and he is about 80lbs and he thinks that he is a lap dog and we let him act like one =]




Something else about me is I love working with children. I  have a preschool class at my church that I love to teach. Children can make even your worst day better. I cannot wait to be able to work with them in a school setting!

I don't really know what I hope in learning from this class just yet but I am excited to find out!! I know that as a future elementary teacher children love music and it is important to them. Learning how to use music in my classroom will make their learning experience fun and interesting and that is my goal!!
